Merit Policy

Transparent, fair, and our affiliating university GCUF the relevant authorities-guided merit-based selection.

How Merit is Calculated

iSpark follows a transparent merit-based selection process in strict accordance with its affiliating university and the relevant regulatory bodies policies. Merit is calculated based on academic performance in the qualifying examination and, where applicable, entry test scores.

  • BS-IT: Merit based on FSc (Pre-Engineering) marks + entry test score (if applicable), as per our affiliating university merit formula
  • BSCS: Merit based on Matric (Science) marks as per regulatory guidelines
  • BSCS: Merit based on Diploma marks + years of practical experience

Merit List Publication

  • Merit lists are published on the iSpark official website and on the college notice board
  • Candidates are informed via SMS/WhatsApp on the number provided in the application
  • Selected candidates must confirm enrollment within the specified deadline or forfeit their seat
  • A waiting list is maintained; vacant seats are offered to next-in-merit candidates

Seat Categories

  • Open Merit: Seats allocated on pure academic merit regardless of any other factor
  • Self-Finance: Limited self-finance seats available for deserving candidates who narrowly miss the merit cutoff
  • Scholarship/Concession: A limited number of fee concessions available for financially disadvantaged but academically strong students — apply separately to the Principal's office

Important Rules

  • Submission of false or forged documents will result in immediate disqualification and legal action
  • Merit is based solely on academic achievement — no other consideration is given
  • Original documents must be presented at the time of enrollment for verification
  • iSpark reserves the right to cancel any admission found based on incorrect information
